Test Test

Me and some friends decided to do a test test, that is, practice for the test next week. What we have figured out is that the test will revolve around designing characters and making a storyboard regarding whatever two random words they give us, all in 3 hours. We tried to simulate these conditions today, and came up with the words "Baseball bat" and "Throwing something". Thus we got a very baseball themed collection.

Today was the last day of the painting course, and I have to say, despite missing my long time sleep mornings this weekend, it was time well spent. I'm still no painter, and still have no burning desire to be one, but theres something about colours now that I couldn't see before. Hope it all improves my art :)

Opposites Attract

Today we did a fun thing, where we got a photograph, and had to paint an image based on said photograph, but use the 'opposite' colours of the colour wheel when painting. So blue for instance isn't blue, but rather orange. Then after that we got to take another image and paint it in any way we considered a good colour scheme. Check them out below.

Monochrome dome

Today was interesting. I signed up for a free painting and color course that lasts today throughout the whole weekend. Today we were working monochrome, that is, one colour, and was pretty fun. We made our own pastels and acrylics using pigments and oats and glue! :D It was really awesome!
